A new luxury property is headed to Anaheim, and it is aiming to reshape the city's hospitality landscape. SENA, which will become the city's first Marriott Autograph Collection hotel, is scheduled to open in 2029 as part of the 100-acre OCVIBE entertainment district.
The project pairs interior design by Rockwell Group with architecture inspired by Southern California's indoor-outdoor lifestyle. Renderings suggest a dramatic arrival experience, with layered public spaces meant to shift mood and function throughout the day. The goal is a social scene that moves from morning coffee to evening cocktails without feeling staged.
Chef Jose Andres is attached to the project, marking a notable culinary anchor for the district. His restaurant is expected to draw both hotel guests and locals, adding a destination dining component that operators say will help the property stand apart in a crowded Orange County market.
SENA joins a growing wave of development around OCVIBE, which is being positioned as a walkable hub for entertainment, dining and lodging near the city's major attractions. For Anaheim, the hotel represents a step toward higher-end accommodations and a more design-forward identity. Opening is targeted for 2029.
